I’ve recently come across an intriguing illuminated mask that combines aesthetics and technology, offering not just a striking visual effect but also significant skin benefits through light therapy – this particular one comes with various options at a low price point compared to the competitors in the market.

I have been a victim of dark spots and very very dry skin that I would try anything that has the potential of helping the conditions. I’ve only read up on how light therapy might benefit or solve problematic skin conditions but I have always been skeptical.

Working in the medical field, I’ve always thought that anything that is not scientifically proven is skeptical. In the world of aesthetics however, despite me being a skeptic, I thought I’d give it a try.

LED BEAUTY MASK

In terms of the different color offerings, I don’t really care about the other colors besides red, and maybe blue. Why? Red light therapy is approved by the FDA for pain relief, whereas I can’t find any evidence for the other colors in the spectrum. Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy uses low-level wavelengths of red light to penetrate the skin deeply. This process stimulates the production of collagen, which is essential for maintaining skin’s structure, strength, and elasticity. By boosting collagen production, red light therapy can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, giving your skin a more youthful and rejuvenated look2.

Blue Light Therapy

Blue light therapy targets the uppermost layer of the skin and is particularly effective in treating acne. It works by destroying acne-causing bacteria, reducing inflammation, and preventing future breakouts. This makes it an excellent option for those struggling with persistent acne issues2.

Combined Benefits

Many illuminated masks combine both red and blue light therapies, offering a comprehensive approach to skincare. By using these therapies together, you can address multiple skin concerns simultaneously, from reducing wrinkles to clearing up acne.

Conclusion

Overall, this device is fun to use outside of scaring the crap out of my kids and husband (think Squid Game or Jabawokee) and may improve your skin’s health and appearance. I’ve tried it for two weeks and I will say that it has reduced inflamation on my face, it is brighter, but that is about it. I will be trying it for a longer period of time at least 2x/week and maybe increasing it to 3x/week to see what happens.

Whether you’re looking to reduce wrinkles, treat acne, or simply enhance your skin’s overall radiance, light therapy may provide noticeable benefits like mine.
